This past weekend was peacefest and subhuman 3 (Mana Collective). This was my first ever peacefest and I was actually surprised at how good it was, minus all of the ignorant people. Subhuman 3 was one of the very few well setup raves that I've been to. You were really able to tell that they put thought and time into the event. Last night was THWOMP 2.0. I expected a large crowd but no where near the capacity that it was at. Anybody and Everybody was at the galloping ghost arcade last night. Last night was GET BUSY. It was at the blackhole again. It ended early which was kinda wack. Security was really showing off their dominance. Both of these things were out of the event throwers hands though. The music was great, the sound system was phenomenal (my ears are still buzzing), and the lazershows were topnotch. Overall it was a good event. I expect to see everyone at thwomp 2.o and bass addiction!

This past Friday was an event held by SO ICCY. A last minute venue changed switched the location off to the blackhole. I've never been to that venue before so I didn't know what to expect. This event started off hectic as fuck, but once the music started pounding no one really cared about that anymore. This was definitely one of the better raves that I've been to. It wasn't necesarily the biggest rave, or the nicest venue, but the vibe in general was really good. To me that's the most important detail about any event. Thanks to everybody that made my night amazing. Hope to see you all soon.

Leprechaun Disco 2

This was a completely legal event thrown by UNITY. Fully legal events have there +'s and -'s. The positives are obvious. There's no bust factor. So you know it's going to last as long as it's supposed to. Also the people running the event aren't going to get into trouble with the law so that's good for everyone involved. The negatives were unfortunately shown at this event. I don't exactly know why, but the lights never got shut off. That was really salty. They also had people checking i.d.'s at the door harder than I've ever been carded before. The lights and the walk in factor negatively impacted the whole vibe of the event(in my opinion). I do believe that was all out of their control though. The venue the event was thrown at was very nice location though which was a plus. On more than one occasion I've had second thoughts of deciding whether or not to go into a rave because of the location of the event alone. I can't say that this rave made it into that category. Overall I feel that there were multiple parts of the rave that needed improvements but I'm sure they will fix those for next time. Hope to see all of you who attended soon!

So this weekend started off with me driving to the city to scoop Spencer and Dan so we could get clipsy. After some what seems to be unavoidable lag we started blading in the dark. Annoying but tolerable. We did some blading at a few spots and got a few deals, then my off-camera light broke. Super salty. So we decided to head to logan skatepark to end the night. Saturday we all headed to naperville to get some deals. We all got some real tight clips and it was a large success. Sunday was another city session. Andrew and Joe Abdul came through and got some clips along with Spencer and Dan again. Cedric bailed, again. I hate you Cedric.

So I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning to drive myself out to Plainfield. As soon as I showed up at the field I received a call that it was canceled. Real ILL way to start a day... I then got home and headed out to Tinley Park to blade/film with Joe Dooley/Ricky Wolf for QUITTERS. We didn't do much blading due to the stupid humidity/hotness. Ricky def got a few deals. I got one stair rail line I'm ambivalent about. We then hit up Caesars Pizza and chilled at Dooley's place watching some of his unreleased work. Enjoy the pics.

Dan, Angelo, Lubo, and I all went blading today. We got a decent amount of ill clips for my rollerblading dvd called Quitters. we all got pretty wrecked. We saw THE Luis Arboleda, then abruptly listened to his fresh mixtape. Skated a couple parks. Generally had a real fun day. Didn't really take any pictures because I was filming. We ended the day at Burbank Skatepark to film a quick promo for a contest/bbq I am hosting on the 30th.

Rollerblading is so damn pure. So many friends, so many places, so many opportunities. I don't know what I would do with myself if it weren't for rollerblading. I wouldn't be who I am. I wouldn't be even a tad bit sane. I love rollerblading.

Aimless driving and interesting conversation led Katie, and I to a random pond type atmosphere. Really chill area with zero lighting. I managed to have camera, and tripod trouble. Pictures didn't necessarily come out the way I wanted to, but I'm already over it.

Angelo, John, and I all skipped school today to go check out Columbia. The college was holding a huge fest. We checked out a bunch of Photo Galleries. Got to watch some very weird films. Angelo is now legally married to the film Dazed and Confused, we saw Cool Kids live, Angelo and I were interviewed for a video documenting the day, John and I helped on a movie set. It was a very fun day. Angelo had his camera so he took a bunch of really good pictures. I snapped a few pictures with my camera phone.

So Angelo and I set out to take some skating pictures. My skates are currently broken so I was going to have to be taking pictures the whole time. Angelo brought his flashes along for me to play with. He taught me a good amount on how to use them. We stayed out decently late because we're both going to visit Columbia college tomorrow instead of going to school. Yee dig, yeah.
